Happy New Year Everyone! I know I'm a few days late, but I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy and Wonderful New Year. This year one of my resolutions is to pay more attention to this blog, because I've been so busy and haven't had a chance to. So, in honor of the new year, here we go!

Introducing Jersey! She's such a cutie and she has the most amazing blue eyes! She was very sweet and slightly shy at first, but quickly warmed up. She loved playing with the fall props that we had and even tried to eat the corn! We did some picture with her mom and dad as well. We had a blast playing with her.

See what I mean about her eyes? Beautiful!

She was so funny when her parents would say cheese. That was the face we would get! Absolutely adorable!

I think she was surprised that the corn didn't taste good.

Jersey, It's great to watch you grow! You are getting so big! Amanda and I are looking forward to the next time we get to see you!

Once again, I am behind in blogging. I am working to get caught back up, but here is what you have to look forward too. Amanda and I went down to Fayetteville two weeks ago and photographed Jersey. She's the cutest little one year old around. We had an adorable fall setting with her and her family, complete with pumpkins and hay! We also photographed Lucie, Amanda's niece, who is three years old and a ball of energy! She is adorable and strong willed and we had a fantastic time photographing her. I also had the opportunity to photograph the Fox family. John turned 5 years old and we did family pictures at one of my favorite places to photograph, Inniswood Metro Gardens. He's full of energy and a wonderful little guy! The most recent session that we've photograph was twins! Taso and George are so much fun! They were giggling and enjoyed playing in the leaves during our photo session. Amanda and I both had a blast with these guys!

Katie and Kaitlyn

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to photograph one of my friends and her daughter. They are both adorable and I had not seen them in such a long time. Katie and I had a wonderful time catching up and I loved seeing Kaitlyn, who is getting so big and grown up looking. She's growing into quite a beautiful young lady.

Isn't Kaitlyn adorable! She is such a sweet girl!

Aren't they beautiful? I had a wonderful time. Inniswood Metro Garden is one of my favorite places to photograph and I had two beautiful subjects. I love the color that we found at the park, not to mention the beautiful color in Kaitlyn's outfit! Katie and Kaitlyn, I had a blast photographing the two of you! Next time, lets not wait so long to catch up!

Storyboards!

Lately, one of my favorite things to do in post processing, is make storyboards. A storyboard is a unique collage of images from your session, arranged in a way that tells a story. They are a great place for showing details of an event or putting together a sequence. Here's a few of the storyboards that I made lately, and I'm going to start offering them now!

Another visit to Fayetteville

About a week or so ago, Amanda and I headed back to her hometown to visit with her parents and sister. When we visit, we get to hang out with this cutie, Ella! Ella loves it when we bring out our cameras, she instantly becomes a ham. She's adorable and we love photographing her! It's amazing to see how big she's getting! She's 2 and 1/2 now!

While we were down there, we headed off to the Highland County Fair. We had a blast and Ella enjoyed the Carousel!

We had a wonderful time visiting family and at the fair, and then we were off to the Renaissance Festival! Bye Everyone! Thanks for reading!

Quick Update!

So, I know I've not updated or uploaded any pictures lately, but I promise they are coming! Last weekend, I went to Fayetteville with Amanda and we took a lot of pictures at the fair and of Ella and Audrey. Sunday was the Renaissance Festival, so there were more pictures then!

Tonight is I'm doing a photo session with a dear friend of mine. Her little one is turning one! I'm so excited for this session we are doing cake pictures! I can't wait! Look for pictures soon!

Trash the Dress!

I love Trash the Dress sessions! They are so much fun! Dannelle's session was no exception! Dannelle is beautiful and was a wonderful model. While she didn't want to "trash" her dress, we still ended up with some amazing pictures! Isn't she beautiful? I loved her shoes!

I really enjoyed this session, because I got to try out a lot of different ideas. Dannelle was up for anything! I'm so happy with how the pictures turned out. Dannelle was such a blast to work with and she looked stunning in her dress!

Matt and Sara

Matt and I have been friends for years, so when he asked me to take his engagement pictures, I was so excited. It was so fun photographing him and Sara, because they were up for anything! Sara and Matt went to middle school and high school together and went their seperate ways after high school. Fate brought them together years down the road and now they are getting married! Yay!

Matt and Sara, I wish the two of you every happiness in the world. You both are fantastic for each other and just by looking at you anyone how much you adore each other! Love you both!

Brittany and John

I love engagement pictures! They are probably my most favorite thing to photograph. The engagement session I did with Brittany and John was no exception. I've know Brittany since we were in high school, and I was so excited for her when I found out she was engaged. I was even more ecstatic when she said she wanted me to do their engagement pictures! So, Amanda and I headed to Lancaster Ohio to meet up with Brittany and John. Let me just say, wow, it was beautiful there! I love the small town feel of it. I was so happy with how the session turned out!

Aren't Brittany and John perfect together? I loved how he looked at her and how she looked back at him. They are completely two people in love and that love can be felt in every single picture!

Brittany and John, thank you. We had a fantastic time in Lancaster. You two are so perfect for each other and I would wish you every happiness in the world, but after spending time with both of you, I realize you already have that. I can not think of a more perfect couple. Thank you for everything!

A while back, I got a new lens. It is a 75-300 and I don't use it very much. I'm not as comfortable with it, so I thought it was only fitting to spend some time with my lens. I went out one Sunday afternoon to the park and really played around with it. I love it now! I can't believe that I didn't use it that much before! Here's some pictures from my outing! The first one is my favorite!

Amberlee and KenDra

Amberlee and KenDra got married! Yay! I had such a good time at their wedding. Amberlee looked beautiful and they were so much fun! There might have been a little bit of nerves at the beginning, but soon their personalities came out! I loved their outdoor wedding and thought it was absolutely beautiful!

This last picture is my favorite from the entire day. I love little kids at weddings. They are so adorable! Amberlee's little one was no exception! I love how close they are in this picture. You can almost feel the comfort coming from the picture.

Hindu Wedding

So, on July 1st, I received a phone call from a friend of mine, who told me she recommended me as a photographer to a friend of hers. I was very grateful, and asked her about the woman who she referred to me. It turns out, that she was looking for a photographer for a wedding, on July 4th (three days from the day I received this phone call). It was a very last minute wedding and not to mention, it was a Hindu wedding! I have never done a Hindu wedding before and I was very excited and nervous about getting a chance to photograph it. I was only there for the ceremony, but I got some beautiful pictures, had a wonderful time, and learned a lot!

Chris and Lindsey, Thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day! I had an amazing time at your wedding and everything looked so beautiful! Congratulations!

Happy (Belated) Fourth of July!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

I decided to take a break from posting sessions and weddings. I love the 4th of July and even though I'm posting things from over a month ago, I couldn't pass up posting some fireworks. They are my favorite part of the holiday and I was able to see them close up. A friend of mine obtained a permit and put on his own fireworks display for the neighborhood! The end results: AMAZING Fireworks and amazing pictures!

I love how in this one you can see other people watching them as well from the glow of their camera screens.

This last one wasn't set off by my friend, but actually by me! It's a sparkler, another thing I love about the 4th. So, to America, my friends, and family, I leave you with love.

Destinee

Toryn's sister Destinee was also a pleasure to photograph. It was fun photographing these girls because they were older and able to pose in different ways than the children I had done previously. That being said, I took at advantage of it and had the girls climbing and laying on things that I had overlooked before when photographing the little ones.

I love the ones of the girls together and then the ones with their mom. The were so much fun and had a blast posing like they were competing in America's Next Top Model! Destinee, it was so much fun! Thanks!

Amber and Mondo

I was so excited to take Amber and Mondo's pictures. Amber is a friend of a friend, and when I took her pictures before, I remember thinking that she is the cutest thing. Upon meeting Mondo, I realized that not only is she cute, but they together are adorable. They aren't engaged yet, but they are very cute and very much in love.

Another handsome fellow! Elijah was a complete pleasure to photograph! He's such a sweet boy who did whatever I asked him to do and always had a smile ready for me. We got some amazing pictures of him and both had a great time! He also was fantastic when we did all the children together. Overall, he is such a wonderful and beautiful child!

Drake

What a handsome little fellow! Drake, the little brother of Tylor from the previous post, was just as much fun as his sister. He is a cutie, and he loved to dance! He also had an infectious giggle, which caused me to giggle for most of the session! We had lots of fun!

You can almost hear his giggle in this picture! I love it!

So his mom told me that he loves Michael Jackson's songs. She also said that he loves to dance like him and sure enough, he did! Here he is showing off his moves. He's going to get all the ladies with moves like these!

What a cute little girl! Not only is she adorable, she is so sweet too! I did quite a few sessions for this family, who is opening up a second hand clothing store, and wanted to use pictures of their family for the decorations on the walls. Tylor was so great the day that we did her pictures, and had so much fun, she wanted to get in the pictures every session!

I had such a fun time with Tylor. She's such a happy child and that happiness is very obvious to anyone who spends any time with her! Thanks for playing with me Tylor! I had such a great time!

Adam and Monique

I had a wonderful time photographing this couple! Adam and Monique were fun, up for anything and completely in love with each other! They are getting married in two years, and I can't wait for their wedding! I had so much fun with this couple and got some amazing pictures! It's hard for me to decide which ones are my favorite! Just wanted to send out a quick update. I'm behind in my blogging! Just wanted to give you a preview of what is coming! I've got baby pictures of Audrey that I'm going to post, which is a follow up to the Life is a Highway post. I've also got pictures of the circus, an amazing engagement session with Adam and Monique, and more wedding pictures from Steve and Jess's wedding. Last weekend, I got to hang out with this adorable little girl, Ella. I had gone down with Amanda to visit Ella and her family because her little sister was born. This was after everything had calmed down, she was playing in her Mustang, and having a blast. It reminded me of how simple and sweet childhood is where your biggest concern is eatting your popsicle fast enough.

She was so cute! She loved driving her car and having her daddy push the back end to spin her out! She giggled and giggled all day.

Stopping for a second for a quick smile at grandma, and then getting ready to take off again.

This blog is backtracking a little bit. We've already met Rachael and Rian, in their wedding pictures, however these are part one of their engagement pictures. Since I didn't create the blog until much after I took these pictures, and since I like them so much, I thought it would good to post them now!

We had a beautiful location, beautiful weather and a beautiful couple. It was a perfect session!

They are so cute and they looked so happy in all of these pictures!

Story behind this picture. They had a battle, trying to knock each other of balance on this little bridge. This is how it ended. They are so sweet.

She was sent here from heaven and she's daddy's little girl.

As I drop to my knees by her bed at night

I thank god for all the joy in my life

Oh, but most of all

For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer;

sticking little white flowers all up in herhair;

"I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried."

In all that I've done wrong

I know I must have done something right

to deserve a hug every morning

and butterfly kisses at night.

This song sums up this little girl. Last Father's Day we had this photo session for her daddy, who hadn't had her pictures done in a while. She is a beautiful little girl and she was all for suprising her dad with these pictures. I had recently come across these pictures, and though it might be fun to revisit them, and then post them. So, here's Sierra's session.

Did you notice the flower in her hair? She picked that out herself.

Not only was she so sweet, she had a little hint of attitude in her, making for fun pictures!

I'm pretty sure this is one of my favorite pictures. She was heading off to play in the mist at the park and it looks like she is stepping into a fairy tale.

She's a beautiful little girl! And so easy to work with!

Check out those eyes! I didn't touch them, that's how her eyes are. They are amazing!

She had alot of fun playing in this vine, she completely became a ham!

I think this was one of my favorite sessions to photograph. There was not a bad picture in the set, really hard for editing and choosing pictures for the blog.

She has got the most wonderful eyes. I can't say it enough. Actually she is wonderful as well.

Even when she was tired and sleepy, she still was a trooper. This was after I had put the camera away. She layed down in the grass and said that she had fun, but was tired. This is how she layed down. I couldn't resist getting the camera back out for one last picture.

Sierra, thank you. You are a beautiful little girl. You have such a wonderful person, with an amazing personality. I had so much fun taking your picture!

My Best Friend's Wedding

On March 28th, my best friend got married! I was in the wedding that day, so there aren't pictures of the ceremony, but I still managed to get some amazing pictures. These two are perfect together, and I was thrilled to be able to share this special day with them!

Rachael's dress was beautiful. The church was beautiful! So before the ceremony, we snuck the dress in for some pictures. Rachael wanted something different for her dress picture, aside from the typical hanging-in-a-window-shot, so this is what we came up with. I was so happy with the result!

I love the details of a wedding. From the shoes, to flowers, to decorations, there is so much though that goes into it all.

Rachael and Rian, thank you. Thank you for always being up for pictures. Congratulations on your wedding! The day was perfect, just like you two are for each other. I love you both!

Let's Get Trashed!

Just kidding! About two weeks ago, I had my very first Trash the Dress session. It was lots of fun and freeing, not just for the bride, but for me as well. Kathleen was an awesome sport. We went to Hayden Falls, a beautiful natural waterfall here in Columbus. We played around on the rocks there and then even got into the water! Good thing it had finally warmed up!

This one is my favorite in the set. She looks beautiful!

I had so many favorites in this session, it was really hard to pick just a few for the blog.

I love her eyes in this picture!

This one seems to sum up the entire session. She was a fearless bride who was up for anything I had suggested!
